I managed to get the house to myself for an hour last weekend and started recording chapter two of
Ground Control. I'm more than halfway through the chapter, which is nice. Hopefully I can record the second half this weekend and start editing. I changed my mic's position, which I think (mostly) fixed the issue of mouth sounds ending up in my recording, but we'll see when I really sit down to edit.
Grad school is still kicking my butt - I was complaining to a friend today about it when they reminded me its only the second week of the semester (0_o). I'm trying to be nice to myself, while also forcing myself to get on top of my coursework, which has mostly meant several days of going to bed at ungodly hours because I procrastinated before. Fingers crossed I successfully get ahead this week and can have a stress-free day for podficcing.
In other news, I discovered
this free snake cross-stitch pattern thanks to /r/CrossStitch that I may or may not mess around with to make a certain demonic serpent. "Snake" is a prompt on my Good Omens Bingo card, too, so that might be my fill for it. On that note, here's to hoping I can actually sit down and finish the one WIP fic I have for my card this weekend...
